Hey guys,

I have a power hatch pulldown, well, at least the motor is in there. If I plug it in it turns on as well. I want to fix this, any sticky's or anything I missed on these? My hatch always looks like it's popped since the pulldown doesn't work, and the latch is stuck in the up position.

You'll have to look at it, and see what is broken. I would guess the slides are knackered, but you'll have to see just what condition stuff is in.

So if I buy that deluxe pulldown repair kit on there I should have everything I need to fix it? I just looked at it again, and there's a green ribbon of wire coming off that's cut, but if I plug the thing in it turns on. I'm guessing maybe a bit of wiring, that kit, and all should be good. Thanks man.

it sounds like your motor is ok, if it turns, you may just need the sliders, and maybe the gear-screw. The deluxe kit includes a new motor.

That is why I suggest digging into it, to try to see if you can figure out what is going on.

The ribbon cable probably got pulled, because it is stuck in the up-possition. So, as soon as you plug it in, it tries to close itself.

Cool, I'll look back there again after work, I'm hoping it stops snowing at some point, it's cold and lame here right now. Fortunately it's not so much snow I can't drive the Camaro. Wink
