| im having so many problems with the 2.8 that's in this car. im just going to take it out. so i want to find a v8 305 350 i don't care really as long as its not fuel injection (no computers). ill need the tranny automatic only, exhaust and i think that's it so yeah if ya can help me out please help |

| In a few weeks, maybe a month I'll be pulling the stock 305 from my bird. It could probably use a rebuild. and if you can afford it some flat top pistons would be great for it. I'd also go with a milder cam as mine is giving it one hell of an idle, although she pulls real hard 2000+. You can see it on my car on this site. By the end of this week I'll have a working 700r4 that I'm pulling from it as well. |

Welcome to the crew! Tell us a little bit about yourself, your car, etc...
What type of problems are you having with the 2.8L?
Something worth considering too....If you do go with with a non-computer controled setup on any small block chevy V8, and get any type of automatic with overdrive, (700r4, 2004r, 4L60..) you'll want to buy an aftermarket controler for your torque converter lockup. I know the 700r4's don't live long if you don't. I believe there's another piece you'll need to have proper adjustment of your TV (throttle valve) cable. _________________

| thanks its nice to be here. yeah my car is having problem after problem. its in the shop right now being looked at and matters how much it costs to fix it it might just be cheaper and easier to just put a v8 in the car plus id have Alot more fun with the car. as of now i can barely drive the car its cutting out not wanting to stay started and lurching when i drive it |
