So what have you determined was the cause of the damage?

What are the plans for the new engine?

yeah, looks like not only did it break the piston, but it got effing hot too.

Did you hear it knocking, or was it just one big pre-detination that took out the piston?

with the 400 replaced all the bearings and leave the topend alone. install i high volume high output oil pump. looking at a new aeromotive or BG fuel pump. at my highest boost i need a fuel pump 4 times the walbro pump.

detonation killed just that No. 1 piston the rest are in very good shape the heads are in good shape too for the exception of molten piston splatter other wise rebuildable the cylender wall is toasted beings it is already at .060 over its not worth my time and money to rebuild it. but it did make a awsome firery pass and beat the other guy while doing it(12.84sec. 1/4mile). with this poorman build i am goning to run at 7 psi of boost instead of 14 psi.

With the battery and coolant tank relocated you actually have a surprising amount of room in front of the fenders.

BTW, any setup that badass should totally have "MASTER POWER" stamped on it. Laughing

I should keep the block and rebuild it later its a 4 bolt main complete with arp studs, nuts, and bolts. Since i can't use the 2.02 heads on my 400sbc i am going to have the heads checked out and i am going to install them in my T/A with the 1.6 roller rockers. I had the heads rebuilt before i detonated it at the track.
