| Ok so I don't like having a computer controlling my car. Im weird like that. What do I need to replace so that I can just take the damn thing out? I already did the carb and distributor. Anything else? Because my car is having troubles and I want to be sure that the computer isn't screwing with things before I go replacing random parts. |

If you already ditched the computer contolled carb and distributor then your computer isn't doing anything anymore.
If it's having troubles it isn't the computer. |

If you just want the wires and whatnot out of the engine bay, the harness to it should be stand-alone. wires go through the passenger side, you may have to loosen or remove the inner fender/splashguard to get the bundle of wires through there., then just trace everything into the engine bay and unplug. _________________

As I recall the heater and wipers have a gound that hooks into the ground loop that goes through the computer...so I had to re-ground mine... _________________

Depending on what year your car is, it may also control your speedo and cruise control. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

| Ok I figured it wasn't doing much any more but I just wanted to be sure. My car is a 85. The emissions stuff is all vacuum controlled right? |
