But not for the camaro....
Started getting the audi taken apart today, i'm in while some stuff drains, and thought I would post pictures.
Front end is off the car, now it is just taking stuff off, and getting ready to pull the motor.
And there it is, K26 liquid cooled turbocharger.
Intercooler.

Got a little more done today, it is pretty slow going, especialy since I have to make sure to label the harness as I go, so I can put it back together.
And, for those who are wondering how I am storing all of this, in my small garage... I turned the car into its own parts storage sections.

Yeah, i don't really need it. It would have been nice if it fit better, but they way it is, it isn't doing me much good. maybe if we cut it off so it fit my work bench, then it would be nice. |

Got a little more done today, it is slow going. Some of these stupid german designs make it near imposible to get stuff out.
Anyway, here are some pics of where it is now, its real close to getting the engine out, need to jack the car up a little more to get the downpipe out, and then unbolt the tranny.

| Looking good John. You can't be too surprised by the German enginerring, they used to put the engine on the wrong end of the car. |

Hehe weren't you around for when john pulled the head on his audi like 5 times cause it wasn't sealing?
Long story short he found a donor audi with a turbo motor. Putting turbo motor into his audi. |

Made some good progress this weekend. Got the motor out of the donor car!
Here is the bartster taking off the flexplate so we can put the motor on the stand.
What a DIRTY mess this is, I am going to have to buy stock in Simple Green.
Spent most of my afternoon working on cleaning the motor.
I am slowly making progress on it.
I also started taking apart my car, gotta get that engine out too.
Also, picked up stuff from a co-worker, that is for the turbo motor in the small audi's, a lot of the intake stuff won't fit from the big car.

| Didn't notice before... but that looks like an almost brand new torque converter on the 5000. Isn't the trans bad on that? I wonder if the converter was shot! LOL sucks to be the seller. |

| It was an almost brand new tranny, he had gone thru 3 tranny's in 70,000 miles. The auto FWD tranny's are horrible on the audi's, they are known for going out. |
