I'm collecting parts to install when my car gets outta the body shop. I've got a 36mm sway bar, I ordered new poly sway bar bushings and end links for the front and rear, I'm working on getting a tubular panhard from Alloy, and I got my steering brace from TDS today. I can't wait to get all these parts on!

Niiiice. I've got the same one and I noticed a difference. Hopefully not just in my wallet. _________________

I was looking at the BMR and UMI steering braces but read on TGO that a lot of people had fitment issues. It was only a few dollars more for the TDS piece and everyone seems to like it so I went that way.
This cars gonna be interesting to drive with all this suspension hardware and 15" Radial T/As. A better wheel/tire combo and some subframe connectors are next on my list for sure. |

I have no issues other than lower radiator hose clearance with the UMI piece on my 89, easily moved out of the way during install. I have a GM piece on the 92 V6.
The UMI brace on my 89...

Cool angle on the picture Al.
I have the TDS as well. Noticed a little bit of difference. Ive done more work since then, so I'm guessing I would notice more now. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

The fitment complaints seem to mostly stem from the dual fan cars.
No idea why places don't just repop the stocker. I had that one with dual fans without issue. |

I have the UMI one, put it on in about 20 minutes no problem. But I do have a single fan set-up. Made a noticable difference for sure. _________________

I have the TDS with dual fans and never noticed a problem with interference on the fans or on the lower rad hose.
It did make a noticeable increase in the stiffness of my front end under hard cornering as well. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

TDS made one that was a stock replica. He then redesigned it and offered anyone with a v1, and upgrade to v2 for a small price. |

So I picked up that tubular panhard w/ rod ends from alloy yesterday, shout out to Dan, and today I got a full set of nice but dirty 16" Formula wheels with Toyo tires, around 40% tread, locking lugs and all four center caps for $140.
All I need are SFC's and this thing should be ready for some cornering fun. I can't wait! |
