Were gonna burn a prom for it so as long as its for 8 cylinders im happy[/code] _________________ If you expect a kick to the balls and get a slap to the face its still a victory

| I think I misread your post. Your looking for the chip aside from the PROM, correct? Best chance might be at the yard, most of those cars still have the ECM. |

i have 2 V6 memcals and i was told that you cant use a v6 memcal and put a v8 350 prom on it because of the limp home mode is different,
so he is just looking for a 305 TPI speed density memcal, mine is AXXB or AXXF IIRC _________________

I got a couple '730s sitting around but they are all V6s. I was gonna do the swap that Travis had done when he was autocrossing his V6 and never got around to it. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

| If you get the chance, make a trip to the Yank-a-Part in Poulsbo, from where you are, it's not too far. Go up Bond road toward Kingston, make a left at the light for Stottlemeyer Rd, then first left up a dirt drive, there's a sign at the drive. They have a decent selection of 3rd-gens and maybe one will have an intact ECM which you can pull the memcal. |

A V6 memcal wont work in limp home mode very well. It's set for different sized injectors, 6 cyl spark, etc. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |
