Some guy on Motortopia has this. Even with the LG4 rebuilt, wouldn't it just blow up?

Nothing wrong with the strength of the 305. The only problems a 305 has at all is its small displacement and the small bore that shrouds the valves. A turbo or blower will cure both of these. Of course.. same as always, start with a 350 and you'll have even more.

People (and I'm not necessarily putting you in this catagory James) always seem to think that because the LG4 is not the ideal starting point for a performance build that they will simply fall to pieces if any attempt at power production is made. The LG4 can be built to be as strong as any other SBC. Wink

The only draw back to a 305 is that it is a weak excuse for SBC. But it's still better than pouring money in to 22 inch rims. Wink
