Some guy on Motortopia has this. Even with the LG4 rebuilt, wouldn't it just blow up? _________________

| Nothing wrong with the strength of the 305. The only problems a 305 has at all is its small displacement and the small bore that shrouds the valves. A turbo or blower will cure both of these. Of course.. same as always, start with a 350 and you'll have even more. |

People (and I'm not necessarily putting you in this catagory James) always seem to think that because the LG4 is not the ideal starting point for a performance build that they will simply fall to pieces if any attempt at power production is made. The LG4 can be built to be as strong as any other SBC. _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

The only draw back to a 305 is that it is a weak excuse for SBC. But it's still better than pouring money in to 22 inch rims. |
