Anybody have any bold numbers they want to claim for this years dyno.
Only 4 weeks left, time to get them ready to go. I guess I should go drag mine out from under a pile of snow and put the heads back on it.
My goal is 325rwhp this year. |

| What do headers and 3 inch exhaust get you over stock? 20-30 hp? If so, then I should get about 160-170, but I still need to tune the chip. |

| Is it that cold down there? We had heavy wet snow and rain last night but nothing has stuck much up here. |

I had the valve guides replaced as they were shot on all the exhaust valves. Just haven't got to putting it back together yet.
Should pick up a little power by raising the C/R a half point, and I got a set of Comps full roller rockers to replace the roller tip ones. I'm hoping between the compression bump and the rockers I will see some gains. Plus I replaced those silly valve springs before we went racing this fall, so no more float. |

We were testing the new bbq out last night and it was 5* outside.
You know it's cold out when you go catch your ducks and put them in a big box in the shop beside the stove to dry them out. |

I am predicting 325 to the wheels, or a piston through the hood.

I haven't been tuning for anything but part throttle stuff so my hp will be the same I'm sure. Maybe just increase area under the curve.
Oh wait, I added vinyl since last year. I must have more power. _________________

hmmm, stickers made of vinyl, top made of vinyl, sticker = hp, top = great big sticker = great big hp
I am not sure what I will do. I will be disappointed if I don't get 400 to the wheels N/A. That would be 35-40 rwhp from just a cam swap though. That might be a bit much to ask.
I hope to get a good nitrous run or two in this time as well. When I built the 383 I never thought I would have to worry about pushing 500hp rods too hard. Hopefully John and I will not be in a competition for carnage.
Time to visit with the great humbler!

I predict I will be riding shotgun in Tim's IROC, with nothing cool enough to dyno myself.
Will be good to see you guys again! And meet some of the Oregon crew _________________

I truly loved that car, well made machine, quicker than a decent amount of imports....including one pissed off GSR Integra...but I needed more luggage/people room for college and work.
Sold in two days at the car lot, so I get to be teased by it driving around Port Townsend on a rare sunny weekend.
I do have a dodge caravan I'm stuck with right now, but I wouldn't want to humiliate any 305 RS's while in Portland. _________________

We had a turbo dodge minivan dyno with us a few years back. They dialed the boost up on that thing and it screamed. I guess the guy drove low 12's at the track. Drove to the track with the family, took out the bench seats in back, clicked off low 12's.
Other crewbies may have better memories of the correct power and 1/4 mile times but it was pretty cool.
(as long as you didn't line up with him hehe)

I'm going for back to my previous 315RWHP in the camaro. Not sure how I'm going to pull it off. If it's valve springs... I may try and cheat and lower my installed height. If it's not valve springs.... um... I might not dyno.
Hoping for a modest 150RWHP from the Chevette. |

Where Exactly is the dyno going to be in portland? I am really hoping to be there. I'm going to CA for work the week prior, so as long as I don't get OT, I'm gonna be there. Unless it snows I've no idea what hp I will be pushing? Can't wait to see everyone there! |
