I'm so stoked for you!

What valve covers are those? They look all shiney.

So when its all done, its going to look like a TPI 5.7 but its really a vortec headed truck motor?

Them are crate motor valve covers. Full chrome.

Its going to be a TPI, with a truck cam and truck heads. No vortec (at the moment, hehe). I am expecting about 215-220hp w/o headers. Its going to be running with LS1 ecm, to make it all work I have to use vortec truck parts (dizzy, tc cover, sensors). It wont be really any more powerful then a normal TPI motor, but it will idle better and be more fuel efficent.

I want to polish the intake and alt to put more bling under the hood.

Future Plans:
headers
vortech heads with SDPC? intake
crank pully
some type of runners
air foil
possibly larger TB.
different cam
