Cool, now bolt that thing on your 305 and get all of the tuning mishaps out of your system before it goes on a built engine.

well hammer id luv to, but as i have no idea what compression ratio my 305 is running & i dont want to blow the bottom end apart finding out

IIRC unless it is not stock, it is probably 9.3:1

6-71 will be cool, just don't plan to see where you are going, that thing is going to be up blocking your view!

I agree with Rod. Get the tuning issues worked out and make sure everything fits,works,etc before beating on the 383.

Yeah, if you're replacing it with a 383 anyway, blow up that 305! Very Happy

Just put a set of smogger heads off a 350 on it and slap the blower on. You'll be down around 7.5 - 8 :1 compression.
