With the last chip I tried I actually tried dropping it into the ZIF socket both ways, so I'm pretty sure I don't have it in backwards.
It never occured to me that my XDF might be corrupt. I've tried several BIN files, some stock, some I edited. I was only using 6E files since I deleted the cold start, and it's fairly hard to start the car without it in good weather, much less the 38* outside temp right now.
I think I'm just gonna start trying some 32 BINs. |

| Did you turn it on with it in backwards? I believe that toasts the chip. |

AHH! IT WORKS!
Burnt a bone stock 32 ABWT BIN (basically stock for the car, except different rear gear) threw codes, turned the SES light off, cranked and fired perfectly. Idles smooth, tons more torque.
I don't know what the difference is, but I stomped it at 2500 in second and went sliding sideways.
Now I'm gonna have to figure out why the 6E didn't fly, but I'm late for work. |

10 hour shift, meh. No time to play with my toys.
Tried a new 6E BIN tonight and it flashed the SES like it should. Didn't start it though... damn neighbors. |

| If you don't have VATS, don't forget to disable it in the 6E bin. |
