No idea. The fender vent things are REALLY throwing me off.

The headlight is messing with me. By the 50's everything had headlights integrated in the sheet metal. It looks like that is an exterior headlight housing?!? I was thinking it was mid-40's vintage, but can't come up with what it might be. The little bit of front grill shape I can see almost makes me think Chrysler.

That's cause they weren't on the car from the factory. Wink

Hood and corner of the grill make me think '49-'51 Merc.

That vintage Merc had pretty wide grills came out to almost the headlights. The dash mounted rear-view also makes me think its not a merc. Also, no front marker lights on the car in the picture.

Actually, looking at it more I think you're right. It's just too flat below the headlights. Merc was rounded there.

Problem is if they went through the trouble of frenching in the headlights and cutting in those vents then shaving the markers or swapping out grilles would be nothing for them.

50 merc all the way, just customized.

so many similarities.
Hood just has a body line instead of the louvers, and the headlights are a little off. But it even has the weird chrome things on it lol Split window, right shape of the hood, bumper/grill kinda match up, so that would be my bet

Headlights are reminiscent of a Pontiac from the 50's...

Me too! It was funny, that picture was pulled from the cover of 'Modified' magazine, a solely import rag, and I grabbed it and was like, "whoa! That looks cool!" And my coworker though I was talking about he featured carbon fiber gtr in front of the rod. Laughing

hahah, we are all over the board with this car. I wanted to say late 40's Hudson, but windshield lines were all wrong. My first thought on the headlights was Hudson.

Absolutely. We are all over the board, but we are probably all right to some degree. Get a car that's been customized that severely and it can have parts and inspiration from all over.
