That's a shame I'm taking out the gears from my t5 for 3.23 gears but they are for mechanical speedo, although I have an electronic sender attached to it.

From what I hear finding VSS speedo gears is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Good luck.

I have a spare 3.23 mechanical speedo gear too. Razz

Dammit, yeah I guess they are hard to find, I looked at that site, it made me more confused. If I call them, will they help me find one? lol

Use this to find your aspect ratio based tire diameter.

Then use it to find your speedometer gear you need.

Then you can call up and say I need a VSS Speedo gear for a F-body T-5 with X-teeth.

Start calling the local trans supply shops. I found a used drive gear at this place. I also placed ads on CL, TGO, here, and a wanted ad on Ebay.

So I found that our 245/50/16s are 25.65" tall so all I need to know is how many teeth the drive gear has to complete the formula. Does anyone know this number? I don't really want to drain fluid to count the teeth unless I have too.
The gear that is in the car now is from a V6 car that had 3.42's so it reads slow.
*Edit. Nevermind I found that I have a 7 tooth drive gear and need the 18 tooth driven gear, now I should be able to order it. lol

You don't have to drain the fluid. Remove the speedo cable and speedo bullet and take a flashlight and look in the hole. You may lose a little fluid but not much. More than likely it's blue 7 tooth drive gear.

I ended up giving them a call, a guy with a heavy southern accent said they don't have one available at all, he kept thinking I had a mustang T5, had to correct him like 3 times Rolling Eyes

I ordered mine from PATC. You can use the gear for a TH350. Scroll down to the T5 stuff, you can use the TH350 driven gear if you also get the gear housing for the TH350. Might be a bit tricky though getting the VSS style.
