i know its not a f-body but i think im going to have fun with this for 650 bucks. let me know what you guys think. (I did some research before i bought it apparently its not really that difficult to swap in a SBC or a 13B/12A rotary engine)
silly little four banger engine in big ol' engine bay (picture really doesnt show how much room there really is but there is a lot!)

I'm use to slamming them on the ground with airbags.
Little rough on the body, but makes it a better sleeper. If you can find some 4x4 fenders and bed, they are flared and will help tuck some wider tires(atleast the years I dealt with). _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

if you do decide to remove the motor out of the car. I know someone who might be interested in it. _________________

| My sister had one of those, I did a little looking and I think a chevy small block would be a bitch with the distributor. I was thinking 4.3 V6. The engine bay is really short from firewall to radiator. |

fun trucks ive had a few, reallly common for the frames rotting out thou nat the front mount for the rear springs. keep a close eye on that as they rot fast. otherwise there really good reliable trucks, those 2.2s are great!! _________________ Camaro Kid

the sbc swap is actually pretty easy, the distributor being the part that turns most people away. oddly enough from what ive heard the s10 v8 sbc swap motor mounts put the engine in the right spot to clear the distributor and surprisingly match up with the mazda chassis side motor mounts. the big thing that comes up is that the radiator has to be moved slightly forward which in a cab+ like mine with no power steering and no ac is a crap ton easier. on the other hand, if you dont switch your rearend when doing the swap the v8's or any other engine really will just eat through the stock rear ends. read a post of a guy who went through 4 after swapping in a mild 350 in just over a year and a half. why after the 2nd rearend he didnt think to change to something more built beats me. this is all what ive read on b2200 forums which means things will always be more intense than whats written but these few things make me think it cant be too hard right?
but i am pretty excited to have something around thats less conspicuous, had to park the camaro like a year ago to pay off the fines i had accumulated (roughly in the 2500 dollar range). lol i barely take it out now but luckily the neighbors still hate it.

made sure to check the frame when buying it, ive seen too many frame problems in not only these but lots of cars that have full length frames, saddest story being my friends 1965 corvette with 4 half dollar size holes mid frame. 2 on each side in almost the same spots. to quote his dad "should have just sold it and bought a new one here after moving from ohio 20 years ago" _________________ "this thread is worthless with out pictures"

ya i know what you mean, finding them can be the hard part in the first place but finding one for under 3k is a freaking miracle. still trying to decide what direction i want to take it project wise. i actually just picked up a sub and amp for really cheap off of a buddy, thinking i might put that in it. _________________ "this thread is worthless with out pictures"
