You do realise the a 1990 IROC is one of the more rare thirdgens ever made, finding one will be fairly hard, and might cost you a premium, if you are stuck on having a 90MY car. |

I've been looking for a nice 90 IROC-Z for a long time as well. The only one I've seen for sale was pretty beat up. According to the info in TGO there were only about 4200 hardtop/T-top IROC-Z camaros made that year (about 1300 IROC-Z verts). Probably not many are in decent shape anymore.
GM stopped manufacturing MY90 camaros on Dec 31 1989 when the IROC contract expired. Since it was only a partial production run, they started manufacturing the 91MY camaros early so they could at least get something on the showroom floors. Had to switch back to the Z28 name for MY91. |

the 90 iroc has the fastest stock 0-60. thats why i want it. also you can get it in 5-speed which is my biggest concern. _________________ 1990 Camaro RS, Black w/ Red Int, V6 3.1L, Auto, T-Tops. |

you can get all irocs in a 5 speed... and the 0-60 times are all almost identical for all 5.0 TPI's.... _________________ 1985 Z28. Don't know what im doing stupid 4th gen broke me.

Not exactly,
The 90-92 305 TPIs, with the 5speed and G92 performance option, got the L98 cam, instead of the normal 305 TPI cam, it made a pretty significant diffrence.
Just look at the dyno numbers CheezX put down, compared to the rest of the 305 TPI cars that have dynoed. |

The G92 chip is also a lot more aggressive for a stock chip. It has 32 deg of timing at WOT. |

It doesn't say on that page what engine package, and options the cars have. I would not base a descision on what one website says is faster. |

the cars specify the LB8 or whatever the 350 is when it is used. look at a few of the other iroc / z28, it should say lb8 or whatever when the 350 was tested _________________ 1990 Camaro RS, Black w/ Red Int, V6 3.1L, Auto, T-Tops. |

350 = L98
305 = LB9
2.8L V6 = LB8 |

LMAO My 3.1 isn't boring, but it isn't a 350 for damn sure. If you hang around this group long enough, it won't matter what setup you start with... you will be modding it or completely swapping it soon enough! HP addiction is a nasty thing! |
