Well, I figured since I can get an axle and a pair of tires in the 'bird; why not a motor? I'll be heading down south soon to pick up another LSx. I don't have a truck so I'm thinking if I yank the passenger seat I can fit it. Any bets?
Although this motor is going into a toyota. _________________

Will an LS balance easily on the pan? 'Cause if it tips it's gonna tip onto you. |

I carried my roll away bottom box to work by taking my right seat out.
But Araron is right, you need to find a way to secure the motor. Otherwise if could hurt you . I have some jerk cut me off and I had to slam on the brakes when I had my tool box in my car, thankfully I had padding between it and my dash. Just be very careful ok? _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

I'll have to figure out what I can balance it on. It definitely won't be just the pan.
I was thinking I could bend up a couple pieces of metal and bolt them down where the seat frame bolts to and it'd give me hooking spots for some ratchet straps.
This is getting incredibly redneck, incredibly fast. |

Won't the car lean to one side quite a bit? How far are you traveling with it? _________________ '86 Trans Am - 5.0L TPI - LT1 cam - 700R4 - WS6

| Ian, I can probably help you out if you buy the diesel fuel. Where is the engine and when do you want to pick it up? |

Aluminum, dude. It'll be like having two more people in the car.
But yeah, get a truck already. Or ride with Dave. |

Thanks for the offer Dave. The engine is actually in Oregon, so it's a bit far to rope someone else into getting it with me. (Room mate and I are thinking ultra cheap here)

The motor isn't dressed, just oilpan/intake/heads/exhaust mani's so I'm thinking it'd be like carrying a pair of passengers. |

Yeesh. That's over a hundred bucks just in diesel, dude. Find somebody with a 4-banger pickup or something. |
