Looks like I'm the proud new owner of some C5 Z06 front brakes!
Full bolt-on setup, new modified spindles and hub bearings, new rotors and pads, new calipers. Earl's braided lines, Skulte 2.25" wheel adapters.
I'm excited. Should be fun, and best of all my car will no longer look funny with 10.5" stock front brakes and 12" LS1 rears. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

are the 2.25" for the back? I think with your 9.5" wheels 2.25" front spacers will really push your wheels out. Remember you are adding another 1/4" of space with the front rotor.
Just a thought.... |

I'm keeping the 2" spacers I already have on the front, I'm running a 4th gen rear so have no spacers back there.
I'll probably try to re-sell the Skulte adapters. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

gotcha, that makes some sense. I was just wondering.
You'll like it, once you upgrade the brakes, you will wonder why you waited so long.
Ohh...and you can get in on the John/Ian/Dan brake crazy upgrade race. hahha. |

Yeah, I'm hoping it makes a noticeable improvement. I am at the point of needing rotors and pads on my stock brakes right now, so I figured what the heck, let's just make this a little more fun.
Who's in the lead in the whole "size of brakes" competition? I don't think I can be a serious competitor with the 17" wheels I am running now... But some 2010 SS wheels would be pretty sick for huge brakes. _________________ 84 Camaro Z28 - LS1/T56

I think Ian is in the lead..but I still think its a toss up...I think my calipers are a better choice!
Ian -- 14" C6 Z06 Calipers
John -- 13.6" CTS-V Brembo's
Dan -- 13" Wilwood
If I upgrade to 18" wheels, it is an easy switch for me to go to 14" rotors. |

I have the largest rotors but John has more piston surface area. Plus his have a caddy logo on them. |
