What's an original fuel tank worth? $150?

Might be able to sell my stock metal tank to somebody local. Everything here in Illinois is rusted up. Good (perfect?) tanks like mine cannot be found anywhere.

I think this is absolutely a regional thing, Jon.

Around here a fuel tank is practically worthless. I just glanced at my Pull-A-Part price list and they want $9 plus a $6 core. Hell, Mike gave me a tank for free because I bought the pump and pickup inside of it. Wink

However, in rustyville that thing could be gold. Gotta call junkyards and find out what the going rate is.

So basically you can get a tank for between $0-$3? Yowza! I took a random guess last night and asked $130. Laughing

But get this... The guy I was talking to found a tank for $100 and decided to take that one. That's actually good news because it tells me the prices are strong out here.

Actually that's $9 + $6 so $15. Razz

I punched up the Pick-A-Part in Summit Illinois (same company that owns the ones around here) and they want $36 out the door for a tank that has been in an Illinois car. Laughing Like I said, it's all regional.
