K So I called the guy that built my motor, and one thing he said was it was bored .30 over. does that make it a 383?

Nope. Only the crankshaft will make it a 383. 327/350/383 strokers all share a 4.0 std bore. .030 only means it was bored that much bigger in a rebuild. Uses .030 pistons.

The old rule of thumb was... over 3000lbs of weight, 100lbs = .1 in ET.
