Finally stopped being lazy, figure if the car has to sit out all winter i better get to covering the bare metal.

Before:

and as it sits now, hopefully later this week i'll have the rest done.

I have an SS hood that's going on it soon, this hood is folded in the middle.

Also just got a call from the shop and found out the motor's almost done, all i need to do now is figure out what the part number on the cam is then figure out the head, intake, and carb combo i'm going to use.

Nice. 71 or 72? I can't tell without the park light lenses. My first car was a 72 that I bought in 78 and the trunk already rusted through the fender wells from the Michigan winters.

It's a 71, I'm deciding on wether to buy a billet grill for it or go for the stock one, I'm more into the Resto-mod look myself.

the lenses caught some heat from a fire before so they melted pretty well.

once i'm done with the bigger thing's, i'm going to start with retaining it's identity between the 71/72.

71's much better then a 72. I had a 72 that had been changed into a 71. Very nice car til I stuck it in a fence. Was all poser though. Just a 2 barrel 250hp 350, with working cowl induction. Had a/c and a sunroof. I actually liked the bench seat too. Anyway, the one and only pic I have of it is after the wreck Sad Welded in a new quarter and installed a door.. then stole the disc brakes and wheels for my 68.. sold it for $300 less then I paid Very Happy Still sucks though.

Good luck with yours. If you ever go to sell, you'll have me seriously debating about buying.

'71, no billet on the grille (or anywhere else).

Just my two cents, but bikini girl agrees with me... Wink

It's a thought i'm playing around with, if i can find the picture on Team Chevelle i'll post it. It looked pretty cool on it, figure right paint, rim's, all of the goodies, it'd be nifty.

I remember you telling me about your chevelle in a prior post Chevymad. Shame about the whole accident. '71's not my favorite year, personally I like '68 the best, but 71 was the last year of "cool" the front end just looked alot better than the 72.
