LOL You're prepared to swap one for the other? It's just like an F-Body until you get to 1994. Easy, but not cheap. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Get the Jagsthatrun S-10V8 book if you're going that route. It will save you.
Of course I fail to see it going that far based on your do factor of cars
I had a 2.8L and 4.3L 4x4 jimmys of that era. I used a Camaro 2.8L engine in and put the 2.8L carbed stuff from the jimmy back on top. The 2.8L with a 5speed out MPG, Out Drove, Out ran the 4.3L with a Built 700r4. I ended up trading the 4.3 guy in even after I put vortec heads/intake on it... because it was still so damn gutless. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Just get another JY 700 for a few bucks and throw it in. Drive it, blow it up, rinse and repeat. Bearings in the 2.8 are gonna go sometime anyhow. No sense throwing good money into it. *two cents*
BTW, the 60* bell five speed set up for the t-case is kind of a rare unit. Most 4x4's got the auto or the 90* motor. |

| Donald's T5 is from a V6. You will need to find some business like this to mate it to the t-case... |

If your blazer is 4x4 to make a non 4x4 v6t5 work you'll need to find a 4x4 main shaft and top plate shaft. Completely disassemble the trans to install it.
$400 for a bolt and go or:
$40atf
OR
$250 for a used 4x4 t5
$25 pedals
$100 clutch
$100 hydraulics
$15 crossmember
$25 used flywheel
$25 surface flywheel
$10 pilot bushing
$8 brake fluid
$75 bellhousing/clutch fork
Days of work
IIRC the 4x4t5 is a different length than the 4x4 700r4. That means driveline mods if that's the case.
Hope the trans works.
How is going standard cheaper/easier? _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

That's pretty much all I know, I thought I would use it but didn't, but I am way up here in Tacoma. _________________ -Donald
