I bought a full exhaust system off of Schultzy, I really needed the headers and y pipe. It came with a flowmaster 80 series cat back which was a nice bonus. After thinking about it I'm not sure I want my car to be THAT loud, and everybody complains about the sound of them. Confused

Alright time to get to the point... Is there anybody up here in the north sound with a flowmaster cat back willing to let me hear it before I put all the work in.

P.S. I guess I might as well do a poll.

put it on, and if you descide you don't like it, keep the 3" pipes, and buy a different muffler.

I'm with stupid

Suckmaster 80 is supposed to be the good version; better than the 40 and 44. So they claim.

both systems have the same size pipes 2.75", 3" I'm not sure? both systems are completely welded though. so another question. will I need to drop my axle to put it in, or will it come down far enough when I lift the car.

Those 80 series are pretty mellow bud. I had one on my GTA for a while. I was looking for more sound (ended up overshooting but that is a diff story). Most complaints about Flowmaster sound are just that it is so common. It is a nice sounding exhaust, not real loud.

I had an 80 series on my '85 Z28 305TPI and it gave it a nice low rumble at idle. I think you'll be happy with it. Cool

I just drove my 80 series flow for 14+ hours. The only time it was annoying is the 4th gear rev having to hold it at 45-55mph.

Inside the car its not bad. Behind the car its fairly loud.
