Trucks even.. LOL. It did pull out the dodge however, but even my lowrider did that once. Anyway, here's a fun vid. Gets good at the 1:45 mark.

Little over zealous. Laughing Strange thing is that he seemed completely clueless afterwards, as if it should have withstood it.

Hell, that's nothing. For the military we drop machines from airplanes and they survive. Try to do that with a Komatsu. Wink

"Going backwards at twenty is stupid"

^ Says the guy who has obviously never had to yank anything with a snatch strap.

Ranger dude did good IMHO, he gets a cookie for everything but placement of his recovery hooks.

Recovery hooks were probably placed by ford. I know someone who lost a brand new truck because the hooks didnt stay on it. He was in the water at the edge of the river pulling logs on shore when he got stuck. Ran to the neighbors and got their tractor because the tide was coming in. Pulled both hooks off before the tide came too far in. Ended up with just the roof sticking out of the water. Used a log shovel the next day to pull the truck out. Insurance wrote the ford off.

Did you see the video where they used an excavator to climb a pole several stories tall? I think I might have posted it here.

Maybe he should have "pulled" it and not "yanked" it (get your mind out of the gutter Aaron!) Rolling Eyes

Wow, kid learned a lesson. Could you imagine what would have happened if he was driving a modern 3/4 - 1 ton diesel pickup? The strap would have gone through his windsheild and he would have been on " faces of death" instead.
