Your a sick man. You need to attend counseling at the Louis Chevrolet clinic.

Now if this was a Ferd site I'd send you to the Betty Ferd clinic.

What kind of milk has an expiration date in 1-1/2 months? You sure you actually bought milk?

I'm with stupid

You should have bought milk that's less than a week until it goes bad.

Where's your sense of adventure?

Shocked Shrug Crap if I know, Jon, my roommate bought that milk. I guess I don't have a taste for sour milk like you do. Razz

Anyhoo, since you're all a bunch of car nerds, you're probably more interested in seeing this worthless piece of crap:

'85 Z28, four wheel disk, alleged 3.73 posi 10-bolt, factory t-top car. Was originally bright red, but reshot a terrible flat burgundy (sorry Dan).

Was originally a nice black interior, but was gutted because some dickhead redneck decided he wanted a "drag car." Rolling Eyes

Somewhere inside this spaghetti factory (mmm... spaghetti factory...) where was I? Oh yeah, crappy LG4, blows blue smoke, runs way rich, misfires, and now won't start. Not gonna mess with it anymore.

Some late 2nd-gen wheels on it (pug fugly).

Needs a new nose, but the rest of the panels are pretty decent.

I bought it Friday night, but didn't get started till last night. Got a couple hours of work done tonight (work = ripping crap out and throwing it away Razz). Here was the status as of 9:30 tonight:

That's not to say there aren't a few trouble spots. The car has hardly any rust anywhere on it, except for a nice big battery shaped hole in the passenger floor:

There was also a weird grinder cut here:

Something about this makes me think of someone yelling "Jethro, bring me more plywood, ya hear?"

At James' request, the VIN and RPO's for decoding:

Darigold Baby! Thats what we drink too. Insane long expiration dates, but we have never had one go bad. Wink

James and I had a helluva time finding a nose for my RS. We ended up finding one that wasn't too badly thrashed and then did some serious patching and filling.

BTW, those 2ndgen wheels don't look that bad. Wink

BTW, in case you were wondering, I think I've got an idea for what to do with the 700. Wink

The GU4 RPO indicates a 3.08 ratio. I assume it no longer has its stock diff?

G80 would indicate a posi, again assuming it is the stock diff.

Dunno. Shrug Dude claimed he decoded the tag on the axle as 3.73. Can't tell crap till you spin it and count shaft revolutions anyhow.

Aaron, that car is a piece of crap. At least now you have a Chevy again. Laughing

Seriously, my car was not much better when I got it, except mine had no motor at all and the interior, although pretty well trashed, was still attached to the car. So I'm just giving you a hard time. I'm sure you'll have it looking great and running great before too long. Very Happy

Sell ya the MegaSquirted motor and T5 out of my car. Wink

@ Jay: Yes, twenty lockers to keep people from stealing those valuable 80-81 Z28 wheels. Rolling Eyes Doh! Probably should invest in one of those universal lug remover tools, or a bunch of 11/16 sockets and a BFH.

@ Gabe: If you are indeed dumping the 'Squirt, I want it. You can keep your crapped up clutch, and truck-headed sbc though. Razz

Squirt's going with the engine when I do sell. Won't be for a couple months though, gotta move first. If your plans ever do include fuel injection with MS I'll help you build one and get it tuned though.

My sig should give you a very rough idea of what's coming down the pipeline for my Camaro. The details however, will remain secret. Wink

Nothing wrong with truck heads. I got decent power out of them and a great curve to boot. Not saying you couldn't do more with better heads though. Razz

Interesting RPOs...it had the Interior Roof Console (the one with the flashlight), rear disc brakes, 78 amp altenator, radio delete (still came with antennae), electric clock (probably the one on the center console), California emissions, and was Brilliant Red (not two-toned) with Vermillion/Carmine Stripes with a full black interior and stock Z28 Wheels (Bright White...I doubt they were white, but maybe silver. Like John said, we were able to repair the nose for his car.
