Here's a link to a video of one of the CIWS taking out a towed target during our last underway. It shot somewhere around 500 rounds and spashed the target.

Once I get a copy of it I'll post a link to the video of the two missiles I fired on the 7th. You can actually see the missile hit the drone and spash into the water.

This is one of my favorites, coming from the underwater community. MK 48 explodes under its target without making contact, and breaks the hull in half.

Of course, that's nothing in comparison to this which drops the deck from under your feet when it launches Cool

R2D2 Laughing

I wish I had gotten some of those new uniforms. Those BDUs are sooo much better than the janitor clothes...they kept pushing back the deadline for the change while I was in. I also wish I was able to see more while I was in, like actually going on the Lincoln or seeing the Prowlers in Whidbey, which I was supposed to be assigned there but ended up in a holding unit in Everett, bleh(injured).

I love that it broke the ships keel when it got hit.

Here's a video I took during our last underway. The product of our chiefs and first classes not showing up for training.

Fun times can be had when they don't show up.

I remember during A school in Pensacola, our duty section had a lightsaber war during muster. Laughing

Also, do they call the new working uniforms BDUs?

They're still called BDUs in the Army.

Oh ok. It sucked when they were supposed to come out when I went in bootcamp in '06, then they pushed it back 6 months, then turned into a year. I was looking foreward to have some Crying or Very sad .

That MK-48 is crazy. Creates that vacuum "bubble" and sucks everything in.
