Pretty cool film. Need to find the original without the music overdubbed though.

Somewhere on my computer I have the original in HD. The ferrari engine sounds are certainly worth a listen.

(although, I am pretty sure they have proven that at least parts of it are fake)

Here is a version without the music. It's seems to be descent quality.

The music of the v12 ferrari or snow patrol? While both may be good, the video deserves the ferrari.. even though story goes that was dubbed in and a mercedes was used for the film.

Yup yup

The dude later admitted that he mounted a camera on the front of his Benz 450, and overdubbed it with sounds he recorded in his Ferrari.

He was hauling some ass though. Some physics nerds calculated his speed based on distance and time and came up with this:

Watching the film and listening to the sound of the ferrari, I've really got to wonder if it wasnt the ferrari all the time. The mercedes is a 3spd auto, the ferrari a 5spd and I swear you can see the film jig when he shifts.

Read the history of this film somewhere. They did it early in the morning when the traffic would be light and there were spotters at intersections with walkie-talkies just in case. And yeah, the Ferrari sounds were dubbed in later. Wink

Has anybody here read the book "Driver"? This film was an inspiration to Alexander Roy to dedicate his life to setting the record for the NY to LA/cannonball style run.

Agreed! Snow Patrol ruins that video. Sad
