Not long ago, I had the antenna on the roof of my purple 92 resealed as it was leaking past the weather donut. I thought it was working for a while, but with this last bout of heavy rain, I found another wet seat, rather a seat back.
I got some things torn apart, and when I was the trim from the back of the headliner, I felt a drip on my arm. Couldn't find anything, so I brought the hose over and started a stream flowing over the hatch seal. About a minute later, I see a few drips oozing from under the weather strip near the driver side hinge. Time for some sealant under the rubber or a new piece all together. I'll try the sealant first as that's the less expensive way to go.

| The hinges themselves can leak as well. I think thats where mine currently leaks actually. |

I found a notch in the ridge that the seal fits over right at the spot where the leak is. I filled the whole top edge of weatherstrip with RTV (the only stuff I had) and laid some down along the inside edge of the seam it fits over. Hopefully it will work for a while.

found a puddle in my rear drivers side yesterday too...luckily, my fender protector was there and i was able to soak it up with a towel...too close to good weather for me to seal the t-tops. man, i need my own garage

I still have two problem areas.
One is that the trunk well fills with water, probably two inches deep. Its entering from the drivers side plastic compartment thing, but I don't know where the water itself is coming from.
The other is the passenger door panel gets usually 10 or 12 drops of water on the carpet on that door panel. The carpet at the passengers feet is always dry.
Still, much better than it was. T tops can be so frustrating.

Spoiler corner seal? Metal-to-glass seal on the hatch? Both places my Sport Coupe leaked like crazy. 
I'm lost on the other leak.

My driver door in the red one does the same thing. Very intermittent. I'm replacing the hinge pins and bushings before I go looking for this one though, maybe it's just seal fitment - the seals are new. |

I found where it's leaking. Maybe I fixed it, but to be sure, it's going to need a metal or plastic piece epoxied/JB Welded in place to close the hole. The tech that installed my first satellite antenna decided to cut a "V" in the pinch weld to pass the cable through the weather strip. That antenna has been gone a long time and the adhesive holding the weatherstrip in place finally wore out. I'll get a permanent fix on there when the weather dries out  |

Sounds like a good plan! Ouch on the cutting but sounds like a fix is on the horizon, way good!
