Im getting deal on a full set of black leather seats out of a '00 SS camaro There in great shape, he just wants racing seats.

The driver's is power so I'll have to wire that up I know. _________________

Pretty much.
I wanted to do this swap badly when I had my IROC, but people think 4th gen seats are made out of solid effing gold, so I could never afford it. |

I never thought 4thgen seats were all the great. Then again, the stockers I had looked remarkably like 4thgen seats. I ditched those within a few weeks. Not my cup o' tea. But that's a hell of a deal dude! _________________

I never really liked 3rd gen, 4th gen, or corvette seats. I wouldn't put them in my car, but they will sure be an A+ upgrade for yours Derek. Now 5th gen seats on the other hand, I would consider. They are so very comfortable. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S

Very niace! I have 4th gen's in mine. You just need to swap the seat rails and you're golden. As far as I know, the power seats are just in the rails. What power options do you have for those seats? _________________ E30

The stock leather seats in my '91 RS were pretty nice. Wish I had kept them. |

Direct swap unless the rear is a solid and you have a split, etc.
As travis said, the power part is only in the rails. So if you dont have time, or dont want the power option, just swap rails. |

Swap the rails and change the electrical plug end. Also mentioned above, the rear seat back wont be split, not a big deal, just have to remove the bracket from your old seats. Drill out the spot welds.
I put mid 90's T/A seats in my wifes convertible. The only real issue is that the rear seat back is about an 1 1/2" lower than the 3rd gen, leaves a gap when the top is down.
I would love to install a set of modern GTO seats into my car, but they are to tall and would leave no rear seat leg room. They are really nice though. |

Going to a split rear seat is easy. Just did in in Zahara's car. Used four large pop rivets to attach the bracket. Worked like a charm. _________________ Member of the "Elite T56 Club" , big brake club, and "burgundy" (not red or maroon) car owner.

| you don't have to drill anything. if you do have a split rear leave the bracket. you will only see it a little, and it gives you the option to roll back tio a split rear someday. a third gen leather split rear would go nicly with 4th gen front seats for example. |
