Fuel filter is definitely part of a tune up. If it's unknown, the $10 to replace it is now a known, a part of routine maintenance, and limits the chance of it plugging completely stranding the guy or taking out the engine!

I didn't say the fuel filter wasn't part of a tune up. Discredit me all you want. Check the fuel pressure. It'll either be fuel filter or pump, IF the pressure is low. Why don't you replace everything while you're at it. 200k miles on a car, might as well. Does everyone think I'm an idiot?

i havnt posted in a bit due to finals but i am reading Embarassed

the guy told me he replaced the fuel pump not long before i bought it, i've checked his word on alot of the stuff he's told me and i trust him for the most part and it looks all bright and shiny, for those who dont know both the pump and sending unit are on the back top of the tank in full veiw from under the car, also the filter looks new but i will change it the car sat for a time before i bought it and i've ran it alow a few so i will change it. the previous owner took good care of this car, it was one of those deals where the wife says you have to many toys and one has to go deals

He's got an 85 and an 86. They're actually laser's though, he's got some parts for sale, he's wanting to fix the 86, it's got a bad transaxle. We've got brake parts, and some interior stuff, and other suspension parts mostly. The tree destroyed all the glass, and the motor has a rod dangling out the side. We've got a shitload of 80's Charger, Horizon, and Turismo parts though, if you need anything there.
