My T/A will almost be ready for the dyno! Almost...  But we did make great progress today finishing the electrical stuff and making sure all the accessories worked. All thats left to do is drain and refill all fluids, attach spark plug wires, get a new powersteering pully and belt, and procure a new coolant temp sensor. The gas (half a tank) has been in the tank for at least 2 years so a can of Seafoam is going in and probably some "fresh" gas as well. It also has two flat tires so we'll have to deal with that as well. All in all I think James and I made great progress towards getting her back on the street!

John, does Seafoam help nasty gas?
I've got some stuff that's been in the Monterey since last summer that smells kinda fishy (forgot to put Sta-Bil in it  ). It's like half a tank though, so I'd hate to siphon it. |

Sweeeeeet! I take it you got the PS bracket all set up? I have a spare thirdgen pulley if you need it. You guys working on it today? I could just stop by.

The last time I was deployed I left my mustang parked for somewhere around 9 months and it fired right up. I'd just make sure to get new fuel asap. Also, condensation could have formed inside and have collected in the tank, especially since it isn't full all the way. If you're at all worried about it I wouldn't chance sucking up some water. |

It isn't fully installed 'cause I still need the new pully and don't have a puller. I could use those instructions! Also is your pully a 5 rib? If so I could use that to.
Aaron, yes Seafoam will "recondition" old gas.  |

Well I've got both the pulley and the puller. 
I'm almost 100% sure it's a six rib because the March dual crank pulley was six rib, right? And the factory belt for my car was a six rib. I don't know about the pre-88 serp setups though... |

The alt is a 5 rib so I got the stock 5 rib belt for it, but it seemed fine on the 6 rib crank pully. The serp style water pump pully has me a little nervous, but you ran it like that, right?
BTW Ian, we aren't working on the car today but James will probably be there (hes enjoying some freedom while his family is out of town) if you wanted to drop that stuff off. |

It should, it had TPI from the factory! Of course now it sports your old '91 305 and a TPI cobbled together from the original '86 parts and that one you sold me that I think we determined was equal parts '87 and '91. |
