I've pretty much posted this on every board I frequent. Looking for any suggestions/opinions/slaps on the back.

I went ahead and bought headlight replacements for my popups. They're 90mm hella high beam units that I'll use for a while until I pick up some HID projector lowbeams.

These lights seem brighter than god himself. I went to the store to get gas and do a quick adjust on them and was completely amazed. They're 100x better than my old 100w/90w h4 conversion bulbs. I'm getting ancy for the D2S HIDs later on.



I'm still on the edge of it right now. I like it but it looks like a hack to me. I can't wait to get the lowbeams so I can clean everything all up. I'll be mounting the lowbeams in place of the stock fogs. I'll either be running a city light (194 wedge bulb) or halo ring as the turn signal/running light when I put the lowbeams in. Opinions?




With the motors/bulbs/popup crap removed the doors can just be lifted up right now. I had thought that they would fly up as soon as I started driving but they only shoot up while going fast on a bumpy road.

You need a filler plate made that will help trim it out. Looks good, Im just worried that you may get in an accident without front turn signals, watch out when you turn left in front of someone! Im sure you will come up with something, great work. Perhaps you can intigrate the Hi/Lo's with a turn lens in your trim plate.

I think its very cool. Not to rain on your parade, but headlights are required by law to be within a specific height range, which the stock driving light recesses do not fall within. Additionally, its illegal (in all states) to alter stock lighting without the modifications being DOT approved. (Yes, even many of the euro-style tail lights that are so common on the ricers are illegal).

Perhaps you could consider making the popups low profile (perhaps they popup half their stock height), with a custom plate to fit the smaller lights.

Keep it up, though. I'm interested to see where you go with it.

Really awesome looking. I like how they sit in the bumper fascia recess.

But as mentioned before, it isn't exactly legal. You may want to think of doin a sleepy eye set-up common on Ford Probes.

If you keep the current set up though, I would get the headlight panels welded on as part of the hood. That would look real sleek.


BTW, what did you do with your passenger side motor and assembly? You think I could snag them off you?
