I'm building a new motor and need a pan for my 87. I've got a good pan on my car, but I'd like to have the new motor completely built and ready to stuff in the car and not have to worry about using the old one. Want to be able to drive my car when I'm building the new motor.

Moroso's 7qt f-body pan is pretty nice. Ask mike for the part number.

I got the 6 quart. Summit number is MOR-20182. This one is anodized. The previous was same design but RED. Worked great until it became air conditioned.

Pickup is MOR-24170.

Not cheap. I liked the capacity, clearance for the stroke and baffled sump.

I went aheah and got the moroso pan. Figured a couple of extra quarts and a trap door setup to keep the oil around the pickup in a $3k motor was worth spending a couple of $$$ on.

It's not red, but oh well Wink
