A fantastic CC Gathering at Paul’s, the usual get together!
It went kind of like this; I pull up and Paul meets me out front, “you missed the excitement…Cops I ask, No my mail box, it was ran over!
So after parking I head over to see the work going on, and here is the conversation:
Brandon: "we had to use the Rear-end spreader on Al so we could slip it in"
And that was Before I had even finished my first trailer park trash beer!
“Looks like the proper amount of lube was used…It’s still too tight!”
“Well we’re going to have to pull it out and get it loose”!?!?
"Stuff shot all over my leg"
“Hey I have shims”
OK so if you weren’t there to see what that conversation was referring to…that could have a whole different implication!
The usual Hanging out & conversation And Mailbox Excitement…Call the Feds! _________________

No, that one is Schultzy's rear end
Seriously, here the rear axle has just come out of the car. Paul and Brandon about to pull the cover and remove the cross pin and C-clips so the axles can come out.
Improvised slide hammer to remove the axle bearings.
Assembly of the new gears to the new carrier.
And some of the more fun stuff later on.
Many thanks to Paul and Brandy for putting up with us this weekend
Again to Paul and Brandon for the help in rebuilding the rear end. I learned a bit and found some new sore spots Aside from the frustrations of unscheduled trips to the shop and parts store, I had a blast. _________________ 92 Camaro

You seem confused.
Considering everyone was pretty ok with you after your Internet shenanigans, I'd be super happy and thankful to everyone! Just saying. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

Not to worry. We were having our own problems with the rear end with incorrect bearings, axles that needed machinig to fit, etc. I could have found time in all of that anyhow, takes half hour tops, took me 5 minutes during a break at work. |

Or maybe host one to have help working on your own
This was in Vancouver. The weekend was actually planned for something else that didn't pan out and some of us already had the time off. Ended up being a wrenching party for my car Shop access and parts store as well as expertise were all close at hand |

i could but there is just to much going on at my house...plus the garage is a mess getting ready to take everyone's junk out so i can put mine in lol...maybe later this year...its definitely a thought now that you mention it...after i get the garage all cleaned out i just might do that...im actually doing body work right now...trying to fix up where it was wrecked from previous owner...id love to buy all the parts to build a new motor...but lack of decent jobs in the area prevent me from making enough money to do that...and that is why im doing the body work right now...its cheap when you do it yourself...anyways glad yall had a good time and got some work done on your car al...i still havnt seen you driving around at all... |
