So I borrowed a co-workers blasting machine to clean my new base intake with. It had never been assembled or used. So I assembled it (:sigh:) and I noticed a pressure valve at 130psi. I figured since we normally leave the compressor at 100psi, I'm good.

Hook the air up, hit the ball valve, see it at 50 and rising, I walk off and here a loud bang then hissing. I notice it blew the mostiure collector. Just great!!

Since we already have one on our line, I remove it and lower my psi to 70'ish. Seems to clog up alot?? Maybe I do need more pressure?? Raise to 85 and it blew the nozzle off the line. I am now watching the hose in the driveway dance like a snake, while a dust cloud of walnut shells look like your following someone down a dusty 4x4 trail.

After getting stung by a flying object, run the mower outta gas, weedeater outta string, assembling this thing(PITA!), popping the moisture collector, and blowing the nozzle off the hose, I called it a night.

So... what psi should I be using? 30-40? or 100?? Any advice on trying to get this thing to work?

We run our Glass bead at about 40-50psi.

Clogging alot probably means you're still getting some moisture in the air. It's pretty hard to remove it all unless you have a killer $$ trap setup.

So try it at a lower psi tonight?

Yea, hard to capture all the mostiure, esp here in arkansas this year where crap is rusting sitting in tool boxes that havent rusted in 10+ years.
