I picked up a free Jeep Comanche the other day with an AMC 2.5l engine. The only hitch is that it didn't run. After testing a few things, I found that the injector is bad. It's a single injector TBI, and uses a GM injector. I had a couple 2.8l S10 injectors from a previous project around, and it runs fine with one of those in it.

There's a small problem though... The stock fuel injector is rated for ~40lb/hr. The 2.8 injectors, since the 2.8 uses two, are rated for far less. Therefore, my truck runs now, but it's quite lean, and it stumbles badly under any real load.

Now that the story is done... Laughing

Does anyone have a 305 or a 4.3l TBI injector they would sell me? According to my research, either of those would work better than what I have.

I've got a 305TBI with injectors in it that I was thinking about trashing, if ya wanna come pick it up sometime, you can have it

I'm really tempted, but that's a 6 hour round trip drive for me.

I'm gonna stop by a couple junkyards in the next few days and try to find one closer. Thanks for the offer, at least keep that one through this weekend and I'll let you know what I come up with here.
