same spot as the red one was dented Evil or Very Mad
THIS WAS NOT MY FAULT, my neighbor at the end of the road decided to pull out really fast when i was driving down the road, i only saw it at the last millisecond and i tried to swerve, but it was too late Sad

more pics tomorrow in the light

door looks alright, but paint is messed up. gfx is cracked on door and piece under door, big dent be easily pulled out??

how much a good paint job going for these days? if i can just get the money, i would probably save to have whole car done at a GOOD shop!

almost assuredly yes. it is in your best interest to allow him to pay you out of pocket and not report anything to anyone. that said, if the damage exceeds $1,500 by Oregon law you are required to report to the DMV, which will make your insurance go up. life is unfair sometimes.

I've been hit several times, and my rates never went up unless it was something I did....

Maybe it's just Farmers?

Should be onlyif it's your fault. Your insurance company should hash it out with the other company. If he's uninsured, then they'll try to get it out of him in which case you only pay a detuctible which is refunded - assuming you carry coverage for uninsured motorists.

What all does the quote include? It might be worth taking a total loss with a buyback, and stripping the car for parts.

Get more estimates. That seems way high unless they're painting the whole car!

DON'T PART OUT A NICE CAR BECAUSE IT GONT ONE DENT. Fix it. Fix it yourself. Learn.

But damnit people our cars are getting more rare everyday, and if everyone parted out their car because of the insurance bs etc like this, 90% of us would just have parts and nothing to drive!

Yeah I also suggest try to fix it yourself. Show your neighbor some quotes. Then you can agree on an amount. Since most money to fix the damage is labor oriented. You could buy the tools to fix it yourself and have money left over.

When my son popped my car out of gear and it rolled down the driveway and impailed the drivers side door into the side of my wifes BMW I thought for sure Farmers would total my car. Not the case. They gave me 1200.00

The insurance adjuster came by to look at both cars, then gave me a list of body shops that they prefered. One of them was Carriage Auto Body in Bothell. I talked the owner of Carriage into coming to my house to look at the car.

Long story short, I prepped the car for paint, he repaierd the new suicide door, front fender, door hinges and resprayed the whole car. Complete paint job for a couple of grand and the insurance check.

Looks like the rear quarter will need to be replaced, offer to do the prep work for a shop and work out a deal for other repairs or repaint.

actually the more people part out their cars and remove them from the market, the more rare our cars become and therefore the more valuable they will be.............. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil .

But seriously if they total out the car don't part it, just do buy back, fix it and sell it for more money. You can find a 3rd gen fairly cheap up here. It's not so in AZ or NM.....

I don't need mine to be worth more. It's never going to be worth anywhere near to what I have into it so what's the point? LOL

The point is it will be nice when when this kind of damage doesn't total our cars because the value is so low. It will take several years for the cycle to complete it's self. On of the first steps is getting a half million of these cars recycled into lawnmowers and stuff.

I know I have sent 6 to the scrappers in the last couple years myself. Twisted Evil

likewise. I had Unitrin when I had My ranger. Someone totaled it out while it was parked. My insurance didn't go up a cent.
