Stans Headers in Auburn. The car would be my wifes convertible IROC that needs some custom 3" SS exhaust stuff made up.
SLP headers + after market cat + ( crappy a$$, over priced, po%, not even close to complete ) Borla cat back and.......walla, need three custom peices of 3" mandrel bent pipe to make it all connect. The muffler and over the axle pipe doesnt fit correctly either, depending on price I may have them "adjust " these also.

I would never recomend a BORLA exhaust to anyone. Lots of money for a generic kit.

OK, car is home, passed emmissions with flying colors, new tabs ( and plate) are installed and the wife is out cruising.

Every F'in piece of the BORLA cat back had to be cut, added to, or just tossed. The only part that was used without having a torch or welder " adjust" was the muffler. The car sounds great but it didnt come cheap.

If I had to do it again, I would have purchased just the muffler and let a decent shop fab up the rest, it would have been cheaper and would resulted in a better fitting product. BORLA FTL, or better yet, my checking account Sad

My wifes convertible sounds great, all fitment gripes aside, the Borla muffler and the selective sound option makes for a fantastic sound that is adjustable. It is noticably quicker also with the SLP headers, new cat and Borla cat back. If the full block off plate is installed the car is really quite until upper rpms are reached. The weird thing is that the 1990 is louder than my wifes old RA T/A with the same system and size of plate.

I still think the SLP exhaust on my 87 sounds better, but that is subjective.

I will get a sound clip up in the next couple of days. I want to do a complete reveiw and also include my car with the SLP TOTL at idle and at full throttle for reference.

When I posted my experience with the Borla cat back I told Borla I would not comment further about their products until they contacted me and we came to a resolution.

David Borla contacted me via email the next day and was determined to make things right by me, the consumer. I am pleased with Borla's professional attitude and diligence in handling a difficult situation. I would not think twice about purchasing one of their products now.

The car sounds awsome and has alot more power.

This is my personal thank you to David Borla for standing behind Borla's product and making things right for the average Joe.

Did Borla kick down your front door and take your wife hostage? Such a sudden change in outlook.
