well i went to look at this early 80s bronco today for my mom so i can finally get my car all to my self again and we can get it really cheap and its real nice but theres one problem, we are told it has a small crack in one of the heads. now i was just wondering cause iv never dug that deep into a motor before do u think that its something i could figure out with out messing up the truck?

now i have basic idea of what needs to be done so if you could let me know if im forgetting anything that out be great

so i know ill have to take the intake manifold and the exhaust manifold off,what ever brackets that maybe bolted to it. then the part that makes me nerves is the valve train i know i have to take out the rocker arms and pushrods and everything then unbolt the head. and as far as putting it back to gether i have no clue what kinds of adjustments need to be done to the rockers. so let me know if im forgetting something


the next thing is im have a horrible set of tools and have no idea what tool i would need for this kind of job so if u would let me know what i would need that would be great

Sounds like you should have someone else do it so you can watch and learn. It's fairly involved. You would need a book and a decent set of tools with a torque wrench to make it all happen.
