Its a combination of things. Any sort of sporty car is generaly more of a cop magnet. BUT, the older I get, the less it happens. The real triggers for the police are the combination of a young driver, in a cheap sports car.

ya i figured as much. i mean im not trying to complain to much yet since i havnt goten a ticket and i get that there doing there job but it just gets to the point it just seams like there just making things up to pull me over for just to run my info like saying i have burnt out bulbs then when i check them none are burnt out Confused and saying they didnt think we had seat belts on when the t-tops are off and window down and it is easiest to see that we do have them on. the only time i got pulled over that was some what justified was the front plate in the window which i still dont really see the big problem cause its fully visible. just think they spend to much time plulling me over for some reason that has nothing to do with safety when the blonde in front of me in a bmw is texting with there dog sitting in there lap a while smoking a cigarette Shrug

I swear the cops should stand on the side of the road and give people tickets when they drive by for doing stupid crap like that.

Last time I got pulled over in my Camaro was pretty legit on the cops part. I tore out on to a two laned one way road sideways with the tires burning, it was dark out and the cop was the first car stopped at the stop light right there. I didn't know he was there. I swear that my CDL got me out of that, he ran my license and asked me if I drive for a living. I said yes and he handed my license back and to me to be a little more carefull. Smile

I have had the best luck with cops, like when I accidently raced the motercycle cop with Jenn's Firebird. Embarassed

haha, thats pretty funny

they like pulling me over too!
1. running a stop sign....i looked and there was NO one of the road except the cop going to the other way.
2.speeding, well, i was speeding, but that was a huge ticket for me.
3.no rear license plate light..
4.(last Saturday, in front of my work, everyone saw it Laughing ) no front license plate. he was pretty cool though and knew my name before talking to me....but thats a secret that he couldn't tell me how he knew Wink

The only time I have been pulled over in a camaro, it was legit and I did get a ticket.

I get pulled over more in my GTP. That thing just wants to keep going and you dont realize how fast your going.

biggest thing. I rarely drive MY CARS more then a 15mile radius or so. They are easly noticeable and the cops just flat know I do 5-10 over and do my best to follow the other laws. If I'm not, something is wrong. I will do 5 over with a cop on my tail, no biggie.

for sure that stuff pisses me off so much. im still kinda considering being a cop and if i do thats the kind of stuff ill stop people over not someone who has there front plate on the wrong place

Whats the name of that law where your blocking traffic by going under the limit in the fast lane. Impeding the flow of traffic??? I would be writing them like they are going outta style.

I would be pulling people over like crazy for faulty equipment (lights, etc). Now giving a ticket would depend on how nice they are.

I can "somewhat" understand being on the phone for a min or two at a time. Getting directions, being told plans have changed go elsewhere, etc. But if they are on it for more then 5 min or so, thats wrong. Texting is WAY hard. I tried that once, screw that.

I've been pulled over 3 times while driving two different third gens.

First time I was racing someone (although it was pretty much over for me in the first 100 feet... Laughing ) Big ticket there. Cop was very cool with me and the other driver. Could have been a lot worse than it was. I was real lucky.

Second time was on the way up to Cows last year. Just a warning for noise. (running open headers) Cop was also real cool.

Third time was with paul in the car just before Dyno this year. Had just gotten new tags, and I guess the information hadn't come up in their computer, but I had the valid tags on the car. Also no ticket.

it sucks that you're gettin hassled like that cameron. Just be a responsible, courteous and attentive driver, and you should be okay.

I never got pulled over in my Z. On the other hand, I've been pulled over more than 20 times in my camaro. Most of the time I get "you looked suspicious/nervous." "do you have any weapons or illegal narcotics in the vehicle?" "is this your vehicle?" stuff like that. I garuntee it's because of profiling.

I get pulled over in everything else except for the camaro usually I get a thumbs up as I rumble past. There has been two times that I got pulled over 1. I got puled over for noise ordinance since I left work and jumped on it pretty hard and there was a cop over a mile away that heard something so he speed thru traffic tail gating everyone until he came behind me. Got away with that one. Second one I was not so lucky. I left a stoplight and banged 1st to 2nd and in the midst of tire smoke and shift lights I saw a little man hiding behind some bushes with a laser (bang) I was caught. Pulled me over for improper display of power and speeding. He got really interested in me when he noticed that I had thrown a jacket over the hooked up nitrous bottle Very Happy I remember the words well "Mr. Cain you have entirely to much money invested in this car to be driving it in this manner" he gave me a ticket but never filled out the report and I got out of it on a technicality in court it was great! I have toned it quite a bit!

I haven't been pulled over yet. Even forgot to put the rear license plate back up after opening the rear hatch AND had a cop behind me when that happened. Also removed the muffler to just see what it would be like, drive up next to a cop and again, nothing. Cops around Arlington are cool, they like to pull over those people doing stupid things like talking on the cell phone (my brother got a ticket for that). Or pulling over those kids with "fart cans." Even though my car looks like it's fresh out of the junkyard they still love their muscle-oriented cars here.

I had driven through town, onto the freeway, and all the way to S. Everett with it like that.
