then maybe a little more information. What parts are included in each, what condition are they in, how much work do they need, etc.
You can make cool motors out of both of them, 327's have some really really great reasons to use it, but 350's certainly also have a lot of good points.
Honestly, considering the state of your car, I would get something that will actualy run, for more than a week. |

Corporate engines are your problem, you need a Poncho in a Firebird. |

Whichever you can afford.
If you go to look at a new motor, rent a compression gauge/tester. Have someone rotate the balancer by hand, while you check the compression on each cylinder. I wouldn't settle for any motor with less than 120psi in each cylinder.
If they won't let you compression test it, I would pass on it. _________________

Didn't know you could rotate the motor by hand to reach proper ACCURATE pressure on a compression tester.
100PSI even is okay. What you're really looking for is consistancy between all the cylinders. Big cam, and you wont get as high a compression. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

If you weren't so far I'd give you the 305 out of my bird... Needs valve seals but it did okay. _________________

| I would take that cam no problem, if he wanted to let it go (without the rest of the motor) but it would sit around a while until I get my tuning stuff and get good enough to tune for it.. |
