I've been working a little on the grille insert I got at the swap meet and debating on what to do with it. In the process of filling the holes and sanding them smooth, I rounded some of the edges of the letters of "CAMARO" but nothing major. The letters need repainted in any case, but I was thinking of sanding them smooth and replacing them with a 3D vinyl bowtie decal.
As of now, I need to buy some more sandpaper and scuff up the rest of the surface of the insert so that paint will stick. _________________ 92 Camaro

You're like a little nitche modding machine!
Maybe I should go yank the taillights off the mazda and try out my can of nightshade I've had for months while the car can't start! lol _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

I've got a can of that stuff too, used part of it on my park & side marker lights. I've found that Nightshade needs to be quite warm when you use it or it spiderwebs pretty bad. Heat the can in hot water to warm it up - a trick I learned from building models. _________________ 92 Camaro

Good to know!
Figured the mazda would look good with all the lights darkened. The front and rear markers are in the big black molding mesh so they'd blend dark. _________________ A redline a day keeps the carbon away! |

So much for that piece. I discovered that it wasn't straight across the top edge, kind of like warped from heat. I tried some heat to straighten it and ended up breaking it, fortunately I didn't pay alot for it in the first place. _________________ 92 Camaro
