you'll probably do better with a poll question such as this one in the
Back Porch posting, everyone seems to do the poll questions there, and you'll definately get responses!

I'm running Falken FK-452's in 255/45/17 on my car.

So far I am pretty happy with them. I was originally going to get the Nitto's, but due to some issues with FedEx getting to the tire shop, they gave me the Falkens for the same price. I also had the Hankook Sport K104's on my car before the falkens. They are a descent tire for cheap.

I used to work with tires...

From my 2 1/2 years experience...

Falken tires are garbage. I could say the majority of the tires in the adjustment rack were Falkens. Very cheaply made IMO...

Khumo Ecstas are okay tires, but there are definitely better options. Ecstas are cheap and don't hook well, yet the rubber and build quality is pretty good.

Nitto's are very good tires. Although my buddies 215 RWHP Turbocharged S10 can spin the NT555's with ease, so he is sworn against them. I personally think they are great tires, but I would not go with an NT555, I would go with an NT01.

My personal favorite, BFGoodrich. The build quality IMO is unsurpassed. The G-Force line of tires are exceptional. The rubber is soft and does wear down quicker than a harder compound tire, but the ride is smooth and it hooks to the pavement alot better. BFG just recently bought out Michelin, one of the best tires around
Cool

Hope this helped. Good luck choosing!
