Yeah I know your supposed to take it apart with your eyes open then remember. But assuming I already screwed that up any one got any pics or a link to a parts blow up that might help. Or better yet any one got ten minutes on saturday to help out. please.

Well I'm about positive that its put together correctly but it seems that perhaps the reversing switch may not be working. When I plugged it in the motor worked, but when I flipped the reverser switch by hand the motor stopped. It did not reverse just stopped. Put switch back in other position and it keeps going.
So I'm thinking that either I have something simple that I did wrong or perhaps that switch, oh I'm sorry I meant to say that 57.00 dollar switch.

If it's something simple I am hoping that someone might be able to point it out an maybe I can correct it quickly and easily.

Hey, what was the original problem that necessitated tearing that thing apart? If worst comes to worst, I think I'll be in Raymond on Friday this week maybe, I could probably stop by and help if so. I had to rebuild the pulldown on my '87 a couple times. Ever think about just getting it low enough to latch and seal well and unplugging it? That's what I finally ended up doing. I got tired of the dang thing not quite working right.

Hope you end up getting it working. Wink

Original problem was the gear nut stripped out. Didn't know that was all it was so I ordered the complete rebuild kit from TDS, Good thing it was just the gear nut cause... well never mind its not important suffice it to say at least I have some spare parts. Embarassed

I am planning on go down to Portland Fri eve. and not too sure what fri afternoon looks like but if your in town on friday you can give me a call at 942 7353 and I should know how bad my boss is gonna stick it to me by then. Any help would be appreciated.

I plan on being there I hope someone can help out. Wife says a manual release is in my future, but I really want to keep the cars original options working as best I can.
