That's right! I got myself a "new" road bike a while back and I LOVE IT! I've put around 125 miles on it so far and it rides great.
It has been a a mission of mine for the last few months to compete in a Triathlon this summer. Now that i have myself a decent bike to ride i can finally say i have all the required equipment. Any other bikers out there?

That's cool. I haven't been on mine in quite some time. Maybe some weekend we could get together - It would give me an excuse to get on it again _________________ 92 Camaro

Blah. Way too much work, for not enough speed.
This is how I get my exercise.

Bothell has a hill that I've ridden down (although I had to climb the front side) that I can start standing still, coast to the bottom, and top 50mph by the time I reach the bottom. Hills like that are why I take the reflectors out of my spokes, they cause quite the imbalance |

Yikes. For a second I thought you picked up one of those wannabetrendycool fixies. Looks like fun! Out here there are just too much offroad terrain to have fun with a road bike. I usually just run anyways.

How often do you push that around? _________________

Only when it is warm out, the rest of the time I just look at it. |

| When I was riding regularly (while stationed in So. Cal), I could maintain close to 25mph and average somwhere around 16mph on my 8 mile commute. We have quite a few more hills here though and in shape I can average maybe 12-13mph. Tkes me about an hour to ride the 11-12 miles from work to the ferry which includes a MONSTER hill. |

Hey Jake, got a rack for the bike yet or do you put it in the back of another vehicle? I've got a unique rack for mine, I found the last one at a bike store and they sold it to me for $50 IIRC. Later I found it's been discontinued, but I've got my money's worth out of it in just moves. It holds both of my bikes like a roof rack, only it fits on the hatch.

That is awesome! I've just resulted in taking the wheels off and lowering the seat to cram it in the back of the Camaro. Total pain in the butt and i will most likely mess up my headliner in the process
I should look into something like that!

I used to manage to fit a mountain bike in my hatch by folding down the rear seats, laying the bike down flat in the hatch and turning the front wheel of the bike 90*. Fit like a virgin though. _________________ Richmond 3.73 posi| 36/24 sway bars | SLP LM2 | Koni's | Ground Control 800/200 | Y2K wheels | Dyno Don headers & Y-pipe | airfoil | BBK underdrive pulleys | Raised strut mounts | Extended ball joints | LCARB'S
