Ya I agree. I'd like to know what kinda power mine has. Just to know the actual, not the factory rating. And then I could track my progress. That would be cool. Unfortunately I don't think I will be here for dyno. And I heard that the dyno's are rough on the car, is there any truth to this?

At least someone's making progress with their project lol. You looking forward to that first drive? I know I would be.

If the car has anything marginal on it like cooling system not up to snuff or engine about to go away then yes it "could be" hard on it. I have seen many a motor go away. Although they usually go away for a silent death rather then a big kaboom! lol

First time I put the V6 on the rollers, I found out it had 2 leaky injectors. Aside from much lower than expected HP, no harm was done. I can see where something in the rotating assembly or valve train can do harm as you're going flat out on the rollers.

But how many of us go "Flat Out" at the drag strip or even a quick 1st-2nd-3rd 0-60. Just as much "wear" on the motor there as drag racing or dyno etc.

I would rather find out on the dyno that I have a problem than heading out of town on a trip.
