i've got two T-handles shifters if someone would like them.
one is grey and is our of my 89 GTA. It's not in to bad of shape, but the grey material has rubbed off in front...maybe about the size of a dime.
the other one is black and out of my 00 bird. It's in perfect shape. i just replaced it with one out of a camaro.
let me know if your interested.
thanks. _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |

not sure.
since we're close, you can swing by one night and we can test fit it.
aren't the sticks a screw on knob?
this is held in place with a large staple. we might be able to figure something out though.
of course being a manual tranny, the side button is useless. _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |

i'm pretty sure the sticks screw on and this is held in by a staple.
i don't think it would work, especially with the side button....it wouldn't do anything.
anyone know for sure? _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |

Auto knobs slide on with a staple clip. Manual knobs screw on. If you want the button pick up a Hurst knob with a 12V switch. The auto button slides a rod down the shifter shaft that disengages the shifter lockout. |

I've asked this somewhere before long ago, but does the "T" handle shifter work on the Camaro that has the top button style? If so, I'd be interested in the dark one. _________________ Vaneat-91RS

yes it does.
if it's a later year camaro and has a staple holding on the knob, it's a direct replacement (i did the exact opposite: t-handle off and camaro knob on). if it's an older one that requires the small round clip on the inside, it might need a little creativity holding it on, but it will still fit just fine. i guess it would stay on as long as you don't pull up on it.
pm me your info. _________________ we all gotta start somewhere.... |
