I picked up an S-10 4x4 this summer when we were buying scrap metal. It probably cost us about $50 at the time, but I decided to spare it from the shredder. Perfect snow plow canidate. Spent all day today fabbing up the plow on it and I am amazed how well this little thing will push snow. We had about 8" of snow and it was nothing for it. This beats the hell out of my lawn tractor I used last year.

Now that is the difination of a gear head!

Too lazy to shuvle the driveway, but willing to spend hours welding a snow plow on the front of a scrap-truck. Wink

All joking aside, that is a cool project man!

Sprayed a little paint on the plow today and added some lights that I got from Aaron, BTW thanks Aaron. It's really snowing right now so hopefully I can do some plowing in the morning.

Thumbs up

I also really like the lighting system you've got hanging down under the bumper there.

Haha, the turn signals on this S10 were in the front bumper, I just haven't decided what to do with the sockets yet. If I ever want to get it on the road I'll have to mount some lights on it.

Looks like a nice little plow Rod. Looks like we get to share a little bit of your guys normal winter up here this year. Hopefully things will be mellow by the time dyno gets here.

So when you coming up and plowing all our driveways?? Very Happy Dad tried to do mine yesterday.. the blade kept pushing the tractor sideways instead of the snow. He did end up getting a path finally though.

Come home tonight to a bare driveway and huge piles of snow all around. Looks like dad brought the backhoe over this time to do it. I may actually get out of hte house in my own car in the morning.. If it doesnt snow me in again. Not sure where i'll park at work though. Had several cars stuck in the lot again today.
