Were any modifications done to it to make it ok with there regulations? Example, 2 years ago I assissted in shipping a car to can-duck. It had to have DRL's on it before it was allowed in. _________________ 2008 GMC Z71

Before shipping a car you need to remove all the gas, or leave inside less than 1/4 of tank... I fill up the gas tank the night before... Anybody told me that... So I drove around there a lot of hours... And also they disconnect the battery for have a safe trip...
For one year my brother can drive it with american license plate. He ask to register the car like a historical car, because in Italy all the car that have 20 year can apply for historical car... And save a lot of money on taxes and insurance! So now he pay almost 300$ for insurance (1 year) and 40$ for a kind of a tax permit. That's very cheap... He can save money in this side and put all in gas... Because there is not very cheap...
Maybe he must put other side marker with light close to the front wheels. But I think he will put a magnetic one for don't make hole on the body, and remove after the car pass the test for have the italian registration and title... |

we do things like that here too. put a front plate on to pass state inspection, then remove once you have the stickers. |

Nice. I bet that is a real head turner in Europe. I would love to get a chance to drive mine through the Italian Alps!

Hey Jason, if you have a question that doesn't relate to the topic, just make a new post about it, don't just post in an existing topic.
As for your insurance, if you still live at home, get on your parents policy. Even if you have tickets, you will still save about 50% versus going it alone. This is true until you turn 21, and you get your first age-based price drop. |

Where in Italy? I just visited Rome and then caught the boat in Bari to Greece. Rome was a little too hot when I was there, but intensely beautiful _________________

I want to get over to that part of Europe, when I was there a few years ago, I didn't get that far south.
I want to do a trip with Italy, and also Prague. Urgh, i need to make more money so I can finish my car AND travel! |

Prague is on my list as well, I did 6 countries in 3 weeks and it was just right...but I wanted more.
Austria was amazing, I stayed in Hollstatt, Austria for 3 days and never wanted to leave.
I'll most likely be back in 6 months, if school goes as planned. _________________
